Following the widespread predictions that the 2020 hurricane season would be more active than usual, Hurricane Laura barreled onshore to the United States yesterday, making landfall near Lake Charles and Cameron, LA.

Hurricane Laura was one of the strongest hurricanes to make landfall in Louisiana and the 10th-strongest hurricane to make landfall in the United States to date with wind speeds reaching up to 150 mph. The current loss of life is listed at 6 people while hundreds of thousands more are without food, water, and millions without power.

Aerial Recovery Group, including its volunteer team of Green Berets, is preparing to deploy to some of the most affected areas to assist with the relief efforts.
